چکیده

Photocatalytic properties of semiconductor materials, studied now for decades, represent huge potentialities as environmentally friendly self-cleaning surfaces. Up to now, inexpensive and non-toxic TiO2-based photocatalysts remain the most interesting solution from practical industrial point view. Nevertheless, obtaining titania surface in its anatase phase, polymorph presenting best photocatalytic property, usually requires high temperature. Hence, containing coatings are still limited industrially inorganic glazing. In this article, we present an innovative sequential deposition method using continuous pulsed plasma enhanced chemical vapour enabling thin films at substrate temperature below 60 °C. The morphology crystalline structure TiO2 deposited both modes investigated. Then, combination these two methods used sequentially successfully led on thick polycarbonate substrates without alteration, opening a new way thermolabile such organic glazing or lenses.

Self-Cleaning Glass of Photocatalytic Anatase TiO2@Carbon Nanotubes Thin Film by Polymer-Assisted Approach

Due to the good photocatalytic activity, the TiO2@CNTs thin film is highly desirable to apply to the self-cleaning glass for green intelligent building. Here, the TiO2@CNTs thin film has been successfully achieved by polymer-assisted approach of an aqueous chemical solution method. The polymer, polyethylenimine, aims to combine the Ti4+ with CNTs for film formation of TiO2@CNTs. The resultant t...

TiO2-SiO2 Coatings with a Low Content of AuNPs for Producing Self-Cleaning Building Materials

The high pollution levels in our cities are producing a significant increase of dust on buildings. An application of photoactive coatings on building materials can produce buildings with self-cleaning surfaces. In this study, we have developed a simple sol-gel route for producing Au-TiO₂/SiO₂ photocatalysts with application on buildings. The gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) improved the TiO₂ photoact...

Self-cleaning antireflective optical coatings.

Low-cost antireflection coatings (ARCs) on large optical surfaces are an ingredient-technology for high-performance solar cells. While nanoporous thin films that meet the zero-reflectance conditions on transparent substrates can be cheaply manufactured, their suitability for outdoor applications is limited by the lack of robustness and cleanability. Here, we present a simple method for the manu...

Effect of deposition conditions on mechanical properties of low-temperature PECVD silicon nitride films

The effect of deposition conditions on characteristic mechanical properties – elastic modulus and hardness – of low-temperature PECVD silicon nitrides is investigated using nanoindentation. It is found that increase in substrate temperature, increase in plasma power and decrease in chamber gas pressure all result in increases in elastic modulus and hardness. Strong correlations between the mech...
